Maybe the BA 10/5 was a "heavy duty" option on the four cylinder models? Standard five speed for the fours was an AX-5. I've never seen/heard of a BA 10/5 being installed behind a four from the factory either. Would have been a reasonable HD model for the four though! I guess it's just a matter of how much abuse the Peugeot trans will take. Drive it like a sports car (they were used in the "Eliminator" Comanche 2WD sport trucks) and it won't last long! Not good for the abuse of rock crawling or mud bogging either. Should be fine for normal street driving/hauling, as evidenced by your experience.
