I'm at the same point on my projects. Altering things that are assembled is not in the cards!!! That's why I wil be proceedign slowley with the T-5 upgrade.
If I get to the point I think the Convertible will be a keeper I will probably seriously consider the Gear Vendors, just for th esimple fact that they have versions that will bolt on the Dana 20 adapter and output shaft already on my Jeep turbo 400. I won't even have to find any two wheel drive parts to put on the 4X4 version I have! I will also keep my eyes open for an overdrive trans, just to have in case I ever decide to get creative too!!!
