I will probably die with this project in my head, but I'm going to proceed as time allows. What I want to build for myself after I get the Convertible running is a Comanche Long bed, 4X4, Stroker engine, T-5 2:95 first gear, close ratio transmission. 3:55 or 3:73 gears. The all wheel drive type transfer case. No lift, More a Street truck. Not an off roader. I actually have most of the stroker parts, Renix injection. Access to an all wheel drive type transfer case from an 80's XJ ETC. No hurry on this project at all. Like I said I'll probably die before it gets done :] My point is I would build the two wheel drive Jeep with the T-5 or similar car geared trans. Just because it is more "street" friendly, depending on the gear set. It is also light weight, 75 lbs. The AX15 is IMHO too notchy in shift action to be "fun" on the street. Of course the T-5 into the XJ body is not a bolt in. which I'm sure is what you are after.
