I looked back at my emails and I don't think I ever actually said this was at the PUMP end of the high pressure hose. Sometimes it is easy to assume people know something, when in gact it is not that obvious! I know when I first read about altering pump pressure I was amazed at how easy it could be done! If you pick up a Wrangler valve you could probably do the swap complete in a half hour. The XJ Jeep pump with its top mounted hose setup has to be about the easiest one to access I know of! I Intend to compare valves at some point. I think even the old pumps valves are the same. I haven't compared them yet though. I thought you were referring to someting on the steering gear for some reason, obviously I got confused! Will have to look into this, but really don't want to do much until the bike gets here in early June -- just in case! I CAN ride in the rain, just don't like it all that much...
