All of the AX15 inputs, 2WD and 4WD are the same.  As Andy has pointed out, the only difference is the change in pilot bushing size.  Also, a somewhat tougher gearbox that's pretty much a bolt in is the NV3550.  They come in 2WD Jeeps and Dakota's as well.  I don't think the external slave 4.0 bell is all that hard to find either.  I've seen them on Ebay all the time.
