My Day In the Junkyard

I went to Peninsula Auto Wreckers this morning to pull a couple of parts
from a 1983 Eagle wagon (258/auto). After messing around with it for
awhile, I toured through the yard and saw the 1963 Cadillac 4 door which had
come in earlier in the week. It was back in the corner and as I approached
I noticed it was sitting on a 1964 American 2 door. At first I thought the
American was a convertible because the top had been cut off and the
windshield frame had been crushed by the Caddy. I knew someone on the list
was looking for a convertible back seat, so I asked the yard guys to move
the Cadillac and found that the only things worth saving were the two front
bucket seats.
The car was a 2 door hardtop. Emblems were missing but I think the 2 door
hardtop was only offered in 1964 as a 440 series.
The seats are weathered but certainly rebuildable. So I got those and a
couple of straight side molding pieces which had been thrown in the trunk.
Nearly everything else on the car was unusable except perhaps for driveline
parts. (196/auto)
I also got the Carter AFB carburetor from the Caddy.
