Someone on the AMC Forum runs a manual valve body eguipped 200-4R in an AMC and loves it. >From what I've read on them they are the cream of the crop for Overdrive automatics when built right, Low weight, small size dependable and they don't suck up a lot of horsepower to run them. They really work well in retrofits, becasue they don't require space to clear enlarged cases. They are the same length as a Turbo 350, pretty much a bolt in replacement for them. I'd still just fine a two wheel drive AW4, It's meant to go behind the 4.0L and doesn't have th efunky 3.08 first gear ration that encourages the lunging shift to second gear becasue of to much ration spread. Anyone running a AW4 behind and AMC V-8? I'd like to know how they hold up.
