Steve Schall of Woodstock, IL, is the builder and owner of the red AMX convertible, which started as a Javelin. NAMDRA did a complete story on the car back in 1993 I believe. Steve still has it, still drives and shows it. At the AMO meet in Columbus, OH (1993?) was where Steve first showed the car having just completed it and was offered $40,000 for it. He turned the offer down. Steve called me one day and invited the wife and I over to his house, where he showed me the Javelin and said he was making an AMX convertible out of it. On the way home I told the wife no way would it fly. Boy, was I ever wrong. One day Steve called me and said I had to come over so I did. When I got there the car was done and it was beautiful. He then took me for a ride in it and it really one quick car!
