Re: Javelin/AMX Convertible???????

I know a fellow made a red AMX convertible out of a Javelin (shortened it 6"). He used a Javelin because it was easier to get, and because the sail panels were "flatter" beside the trunk lid. It was 68-70, forget exact year. A Corvette roadster top was used (convertible has a permanently attached drop top, roadster folding top comes off with the twist of a couple latches). I saw the car in St Louis at the AMO show in the mid 90s. It wasn't Benvie who did the car, but I don't recall the owner. Maybe Benvie has done one too?
