The problem is you CAN'T get the 90 degree bent hose! I've used metal flex exhaust, but it's hard to seal. Next best thing is to get a metal exhaust tubing bend, but it isn't tight enough for some applications. I did that for my 63 American -- cut the bend down and epoxied it to the metal piece that holds the gas cap on. I would have tack welded then epoxied had I a wire welder at the, but the epoxy held for the 5-6 years I had the car and was holding when I sold it. I used the rubber hose from the short bend to the tank. I'm not sure if radiator hose would hold up under fuel use, that would be the only way to get a molded hose though -- match one up close.
