Re: Ref: Vote? or Cobra engine into AMX??????????

Cool Guys, glad to see everyone has cooled down and we are back on AMC,s.......almost\\\\\\\\\\

Joey, I'm in the same boat here, got my last son winged off Jap cars, Had a 74 javelin, column shift, six in the yard with a title, roofs gone but he won'ts to rebuild the car, got a couple of leads for roofs clost to TEXAS, and some not so near. Some of his ideals are not in line with me but at least I got him to use a AMC 360 in It, will see where the rest of it goes. Its a father son project and that alone is the best part.

I have a 71 SST replaced the 304 with a 360, will replace that with a 401 if I ever find one, the car has all the AMX logos/hood/spoiler/ect but I haven't got an AMX grill yet.(Keep the 304 and BW trans/SST package just in case I decide to put it back to VIN), been in the family since 77, also have a 72 SST/4V/360, trying to get a title for it and keep it totally stock, but running into a snag getting a clean title as it was in a wrecking yard for over ten years and the owner has died, her kin don't won't to help title it..

As for the BWs I have one of each of the 71 Trans (Alum/Steel), that's why I was looking for the kits. The 360 I came across for the 74 was a 71 model with the BW attached, books say the 904/727s will not fit the fly wheel, and the latter fly wheels will not fit the 71 crank, so will be using the BW on it unless I find out something ease this weekend when we tear down the engine and compare the fly wheels. Hope to have the 360 in to the machine shop next week for clean up before ordering a rebuild kit for it .
