Re: Need wagoneer tailgate help

I remember those! I used to hate them, you couldn't win, I usually ended up with cramps in my fingers and bloody knuckles getting those windows down and apart and repaired.
My dad did one once, had it completely finshed, working good, window down he opened the gate and Gently shut it, not slammed, just pushed it closed, when the latch clicked shut the window shattered into a million pieces. Good thing the owner was standing there as he wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes!

>When I went back I had wrenches with me so I was able to remove the motor but when I started pushing the window down the regulator kept jamming so I had to go ahead and take it loose to get the window down. It seemed a never ending cycle.....I couldn't get the window down without removing the motor and couldn't remove the motor and regulator without lowering the window. But in the end I figured it all out and decided I never want to try that again.
