John, to throw another thing to consider, make sure that the second chance actually came from the seller. I read on another board where others are highjacking second bidders, offering a second chance option and ripping people off. General ignorance plays here on the bidder of course as a different e mail is used and location may be different.. Personally, I would counter offer, WHAT YOU FEEL IS FAIR, if not accepted, unfortunately let the seller, (who may be innocent) deal with ebay on it... You owe the seller nothing afterall...
