I believe '70 is the start of the new key system, when the Rambler went out, and the Hornet and Gremlin came in. I think Briggs and Stratton keys are the same as the early AMC, but not 100% sure. For awhile, they were, anyway. You can have a locksmith come out and do an impression before destroying your locks, they can open them if they're not frozen. Depends on if you want to pay $35-60 for a set, though.
