Larry, Thanks for posting to AMX II info. I was aware of all you posted.
I have much literature on hand, just not nearly what you have.
However the reason I ask the question was that I have never seen the
name Sciabila associated with the AMXIII in any form. After looking over
the background of the published pic of the blue car, I see it is at a
dealership of some sort. You can see one section of another large car to
the right, behind glass, but the also two signs are in the glass area,
one is RR, Roles Royce, the other simply states BENTLY. The AMXIII looks
to be on a down hill ramp, possibly outside the dealership since a glass
seperates it from the other cars. There is also a potted plant sitting
in front of the car.
The book is copywrited in early 1974.
So, I am going to assume from your answer that the Sciabila would
represent SABER as the name given to the car at that time. Correct?? If
so, then why didn't thename of Saber ever come up in AMC circles before
now?? Not saying this is not so, just strange the car would have at some
time been given the moniker of Saber but that name never appeared to us
AMC nuts til now.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Randy Guynn
