George, unbelievable, I just sent the follwong text to the Stroker list about my $Hit-10 pickup! >>>>>>>>>>>>>TEXT follows>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Just a follow up of my off topic earlier post. I met with the assistant Service manager and he told me that the repair I had the bulletin on wouldn't fix my truck. Even though it exactly described the condition of my truck and what the noise is. He said it wouldn't fix the truck. I asked if they had tried the fix and it didn't work. He said no it just wasn't the right repair for my truck and they wouldn't do it or look into it or check with Chevrolet to see if it was apropriate or anything else! He was so busy telling me I was wrong about the Balance shaft noise that he never remembered to ask me to pay for the repairs they did under the expired warranty and didn't charge me for! It was unbelievable, he made no effort to help me or to even give me a chance to prove that my truck had the condition in the buletin. Even though Chevrolet gave me 6 year engine warranty because of the noise and promised a repair when it became available. Stupid me though, I didn't get the promise of the repair in writing! I worked at dealerships for 10 years, now I know why the customers were Pi$$ed off all the time! Thank god my wife has even had enough! Her Nissan is at 98,000 miles and she wants a fourwheel drive something. She told me friday to find her a good used XJ!!!! I'm so Happy I could just $hi# !!! Anyone have a 96 up [prefer 98 up] XJ for sale? Love to find her Jeep Cherokee Classic with a 5 speed. I've seen a few, but not many. Let me know if anyone comes across something nice. I'm not looking for a beater. I want a nice dependable vehicle and I'm not afraid to pay a fair price for one, CASH awaits! No Bank Financing! No lift kits, or hack jobs. This is for my wife!
