Re: [AMC-list] AMC-list Digest, Vol 47, Issue 19

Hi Andrew,
I may have a rear for you! Its currently in my 70 Hornet that is snowed in. I plan to do a v-8 swap in it so I will be changing the rear. Where in VT is your Aunts place? This weekend I am constructing a new Brew room/Man cave in my basement. Building the bar next.
Davis in CT

i have to ask, why the t150+o/d?  unless your gremmie is a column
shift and/or you happen to have it...

the 3+o/d from a late '70s [pre fox-chassis] granada would be a
straight swap for a 'normal' t150, but being really a 4sp it needs a
floor shifter.  this version still has an iron case and a 'normal'
input shaft, like the t150; the aluminum-cased srod versions have
internal linkage [the 'sr' part] and, for no good reason i know of, an
input longer than the t150 and all the other ford toploaders.

not original, but simpler and more rugged/reliable than the laycock
setup, and an easy fit - if you want a floor shifter.

" What will you fellow listers be doing this weekend (bad keyboard, no
" question mark).

checking my snowed-in vermont aunt's summer place [nearby], and
digging myself out from the latest storm - 3-6" of heavy wet snow.  i
don't want it to freeze solid before i dig out.

Hi Andrew,

I bought an NOS T-150 with Laycock from a seller in Kenosha years ago and was looking for a place to use it.  I have the floor shift (with T-14) now but I do have the NOS parts to install the OD unit (turn signal stalks with OD button and wiring harness.)

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good small body rear axle with a 3.08 or lower ratio.

I think the weatherman is saying you're gonna get more snow.

Regards,
Joe
