You will need a pre 87 (maybe 87 or a bit later in trucks) 2.5L TBI for parts. In cars they started using a DIS in 1987 (maybe 86, but I had an 87). The DIS system used a different block and crank. The trigger wheel was INSIDE the block on the crank and the pickup was made onto the ignition module. It extended through a hole in the side of the block. The Eagle GM 2.5L four used the SBC bell housing bolt pattern, all later ones used the now standard GM small four/small V-6 bell bolt pattern. -------------- Date: Wed, 13 Apr 2011 06:23:59 -0600 From: Ken Ames<ameskg@xxxxxxxxx> How difficult is it to do a TBI conversion of the 2.5 Eagle? thanks Ken Ames -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
