There's a fellow out there who has made a GM to Gen-1 AMC adapter, he's not really making a kit. He did make a torque tube adapter as well. I've encouraged him to make the trans adapter available alone as that would probably sell pretty good to Rambler owners and a few Jeep guys. I'm sure he would sell the trans adapter alone. ------------- Date: Sun, 9 Jan 2011 13:14:25 -0800 (PST) From: Jason Patrick<mrrumblur@xxxxxxxxx> Actually,?going?with an open driveline to replace?the torque tube and all that's associated with it is the primary reason for these upgrades. When I say I'm wanting to replace everything from the flexplate back with an adapted GM OD auto and Explorer diff.......I do mean everything;-) I understand that one of the kits being made does retain the torque tube but that's not my goal. I plan to get just what's required to bolt a 700R4 to the 327. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
