As Tom and Joe said. No gasket stock. 
Resurface is a must now. Or a gasket. 
   Call me prejudiced but I tend to dislike the addition of exhaust gaskets. Just cause they weren't there to begin with.

I checked the aluminum motor from my 63 Classic wagon today and it does not use an exhaust manifold gasket.   I'm pretty sure the motor has never been out of the car....correct date code, etc.

Does this motor use exhaust manifold to Cyl head gaskets?  The motor that
came in the car was already torn down to the block, and the replacement
motor I put in does not have them but the motor now has soot marks above
where the manifold bolts to the head.
