[AMC-list] Aluminum 195.6 question

Does this motor use exhaust manifold to Cyl head gaskets?  The motor that
came in the car was already torn down to the block, and the replacement
motor I put in does not have them but the motor now has soot marks above
where the manifold bolts to the head.
