Another take on the oil pump drivers. I just knock out the pin that holds the gear, toss the gear into my parts box "just in case". Take a dremel or hacksaw to the top part of the dist body and keep just the dist shaft intact. You'll see how much to cut once it is in the vice. I cut up a dist this way and keep it in my upright tool box.
