I have done this too. Take an old distributor and grind the teeth off the
gear (make sure and get enough off so it doesn't touch the cam gear). Take
all the "guts" off the top leaving just the shaft exposed. I had to grind
"flats" on the shaft so the drill wouldn't slide on it. Make sure and have a
pretty stout drill. You would be surprised at how much power it takes to
turn an oil pump!!
