You could maybe get away with it if you could add the 63 up crossmember.
But that is a whole nother can of worms!


Best bet would be to swap the cases.
It really is not that hard to do!
The standard trans I replaced syncros on I did on a picnic bench with basic tools a tub of wheel bearing grease!
No book, no real idea of WTF I was doing!
But, I did it and it worked fine!
Course as Tom found out that may not be a good idea without setting the preloads!
Still even paying for guts swap to get the preload set would beat having the tangs welded to or drilling and taping and or welding on that bellhousing.
