You could make the time, but might not be able to make the wife happy about it, especially if she had to bail you out half way home, or you had to spend a lot more to get it home because of a break-down. I might try it, would have to look it over or have someone here on the list look it over good for me. I'm not interested in another car now though, but this is definitely a good one! It's an Ambassador, probably has the 327, but the 287 might have been optional in 64. I know there was a 2V 8.5:1 compression and 4V 10:1 compression 327 in 64. ---------- Date: Tue, 06 May 2008 15:59:54 +0000 From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx If I had time and gumption, I'm supposed to be in the area the first of July for a week. That's one I always liked the 64 two door classic/ambo. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Bruce Griffis" <bruce.griffis@xxxxxxxxx> > > There's way too many cool cars on the wrong side. > > > > On Tue, May 6, 2008 at 10:59 AM, JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > >> > > This thing showed up on craigslist in the Bay Area >> > > this morning: >> > > >> > > http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/669549452.html >> > > >> > > The seller even has a realistic attitude about price. >> > > >> > > -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
