I have been told be a reliable source to NEVER pick a color from chip. The chips are NOT paint. They are photo copies of paint and as so can vary greatly from the actual color. I did a 300Z for a guy years ago and he picked the color from a chip. It was supposed to be a light blue metallic. When they mixed and sprayed it, well it ended up being a light blue with a lavendar cast to hit. Not what the guy wanted, but the owner decided it was a pretty cool color afterall. Thankfully I did not have to eat the paint and spray costs as I had subbed out the spray job.... Be careful with chips. Know the color. See it on a car or buy a small amount and spray it out first! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Well you can't really trust the online paint chips > because of differences in scanner settings and setting > on your monitor.
