We had Hudson Ramblers and Nash Ramblers 55 and 56. 57 I think was AMC Ramblers. I think the difference was which dealership sold them. Either Nash or Hudson. I think they got the dealerships consolidated by 1957 model year. My uncle had a small Hudson dealership in NoDak. I spent summer of '57 working for him. (I mostly worked on grain combines :) For a pretty complete illustration of all models, see: http://www.oldcarandtruckpictures.com/AmericanMotors/AmericanMotors.html ______________________________________________________________ Ralph Ausmann - Hillsboro, OR - > <ralph.ausmann@xxxxxxxxx> http://mysite.verizon.net/res79g4m/ ----- Original Message ----- From: jerijan baldwin Subject: Re: [Amc-list] cross country on ebay-hood spears? Yuppers, The '56 was the first 'boxy' look...tough to tell apart from the '57. The American was 'reborn' from minor sheet metal changes out of the '55. The '56 and '57 were actually 'Ramblers', but there was NO '57 Statesman, only '56. '57 and '56 both saw Ambassadors though. I thought the 56, 57, years only had Nashes and Hashes.
