Im a firm believer in preventative maintenance!! Eh, I did that anyways. It's cheaper faster and easier than doing the job over again. I had an old-style gasket anyways, not a blue one. > I just know that the > most common problem on the 196 OHV is a blown head gasket. I think also people were more cavalier about coolant. I've got a new radiator, a big fat fan, flushed and good coolant. It's never overheated, but I watch it anyways. > The last time I got one with a 196 I hadn't had a 196 car for about five > years. Bolts it is unless someone comes up with some solid evidence elsewise. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
