Don't invert them, just try switching from side to side. Then you will at least have a forward outlet. Chevys work that way, and that trick has been used in tight clearance engine bays. I've seen a 283 stuffed in a 55 Rambler (like 58-60 American) with forward outlets used so the exhaust would clear the steering column. --------------- Date: Sat, 17 Nov 2007 20:32:29 -0500 From: Wayne E LaMothe <superglider@xxxxxxxx> OK, clarification. I just checked and inverting the exhaust manifolds won't work. Bolt holes are not agreeable. Don;t know where I got that from but now I know. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
