To help you with your brake setup here's my story. I installed the front
disc brakes from a 75 Hornet on my 70 Javelin. Then I purchased the correct
power brake unit and a 75 Hornet power disc brake master cylinder. In 1970
Javelins and AMXs with front disc brakes had a pressure adjuster located on
the passenger side rail just in front of the rear axle, that reduced the
pressure to the rear drum brakes. My original all drum brake Javelin did not
have this adjuster. I simply bought an aftermarket one from Summit,
installed it in the factory location, and continued adjusting it until
things worked correctly.
