AMC used a square pattern shifter not the rectangluar Mustang pattern. :[
I have a Mustang Trans to build for it, but I don't want the shifter to come back any farther then it is now and it will if I use the Mustang setup. So I'm going to use the AMC tailhousing on the Ford trans.
I'm 6"2" and the shifter position is good now, plus if I dont' keep the AMC tailhousing and shifter I have to rebuild my whole mounting system, change my VSS speed sensor to my Autometer tach and Jeep efi...
