Very stringy and gooey. More on my dud ball joint: I looked again at it. The top half socket has a central hole for the zerk, and four stamped shallow grease grooves to deliver lube from the zerk down the face. They're too shallow, I suppose to accomodate a cheap stamping process. (I mentioned earlier the crack along the top side of the socket stamping.) Two of the grooves were worn away; presumably it didn't get lubed when installed hence metal to metal ate it quick. (Like I said I over-lube if anything, you can be sure that before tire touched the parking spot all joints were heavily grased, and with good synth grease.) Could it really be true that the old stringy crap is better? I'm skeptical, but hey, these days with quality anything is likely to be true. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
