I don't mind the question directly, you're just lucky I can answer! In a couple weeks I'll have access to the list but not my books -- will be in Afghanistan for four months. I won't have my reference books there! Hope you don't mind that I sent the answer to the list also. Note that all early 60s (prior to 67) AMCs should be wired as the 65 (I checked 64 American). The 75 wiring will be the same for those cars with the seatbelt interlock system -- roughly 74-77. There are a couple changes without the interlock, but it's close. 1965 Wiring: Blue - to flasher Yellow - left front signal Brown - right front signal Green - brake light switch White - right rear signal Orange - left rear signal 1975 Wiring: The connector has each position marked with a letter. I'm giving the letters as well as color. Positions A,B, & C are not used (no wires?), and are on the left. D - orange - trans selector light (for auto trans) E - black w/tracer - left front door switch F - yellow w/tracer - key/belt buzzer, continues to seat belt interlock module G - gray - horn relay H - dark green w/tracer - to dash; and dark green - left front signal (there is no I to avoid confusion with the number one) J - brown - to dash; and brown w/tracer - right front signal K - light blue - to hazard flasher (other side of flasher should be to power, on the Hornet it goes from power to the flasher then to the brake light switch -- it's between the brake light switch and power to the switch. L - dark blue - directional flasher M - orange w/tracer - left rear signal N - white - right rear signal (there is no O to avoid confusion with the number zero) P - light green - to brake light switch -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Gary L. The 1975 book does not have a full wiring diagram like my 65 book does _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
