A couple AOL members have resubbed to the list and NOT been bounced over the last 24 hours. I have a theory... AOL may have blocked the list server temporarily so that all AOL members would bounce and be unsubscribed. We were getting a couple bounces that were blocked in such a way that the list server could not extract an address to unsubscribe, so continued trying to send to the addressee -- whoever that was. The block forced bouncing and unsubbing of all AOL addresses, period. The list server does not appear to be blocked any longer, so AOL members should be able to resubscribe if they wish. That's the only way to find out if the block was lifted. I may be wrong and it's just coincidence the two have managed to not be knocked off, though I can't explain why unless the block that forcibly bounced over 200 users has been lifted. I'd like to thank all AOL users who sent a complaint about the list be blocked -- that may be why it was lifted. The blocking (to force unsubscribing) and lifting may have been their plan all along, but I'm thinking complaints more likely drove both actions. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
