232 does indeed use the same type setup, small round plate between crank and converter. starter ring teeth on converter. I've got round plates here, should have two or three laying around. Or just take the cracked one and have a shop make you one. Do they interchange between the 196 and the 232 style engines??? I don't know. I think so. I know the converters are different though. Starter ring is smaller on the 196. 199-232 are the same. They get brittle and crack with age. The early 232 may use the same type flexplate. Can't get to Tripod sites from work, may look once I get home. > > ============================================================= > Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist > > _______________________________________________ > AMC-List mailing list > AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx > http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list > > or go to http://www.amc-list.com _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
