MIGRANTS IN SEAWORTHY CAR INTERCEPTED -- AGAIN

This is wildly off-topic, but I know you'll appreciate the
weirdness of it. It's from NY TIMES last Thursday.
There's a small photo of the vehicle in question -- the caption
says "DRIVEN: On a third try in two years to reach the U.S.,
CUbans aboard a converted 1949 Mercury are caught by the U.S.
Coast Guard."
It's an airport limo or taxi or something; there's four windows
across the drivers side. The boat prow extends out the front about
4 feet and encloses the radiator & nose of the car. The water is
only up to the middle of the hubcaps in front, top of hubcaps in
rear, it looks like someone did a really good job!
They were caught 20 miles off Key West. The photo shows USCG along
side the car-boat, with people in the car barely visible (it's a
small photo).
Photo credit is Carlos Barria, WSCV (TV station I think, NBC).
