I feel like im on the Titanic right now.  I just calm myself by saying "at

What is that ballast like thing thats sits on the drivers fender in front of 
the battery?

After moving the distributor all the way i could counterclockwise, i almost 
got it to start. I then moved it the reverse way and im getting progress, 
but the battery is taking the toll.  Im going to let it sit for awhile to 
recharge.
