Cam recommendation for 401 in '74 Jav/AMX



Sent the following request to Reed Cams

I am rebuilding a 401 to put in my 74 Javelin/AMX. 
Here are the specifics:

> > -I want this to be a strong street performer that

and to out of state car shows.

1st reply from Reed:  What is your desired power
range?

My reply:

The Air Gap manifold range is 1500-6500 but I don't
> think I'll ever be that high(I think the 600cfm carb

Reed recommendation:
I suggest a TM272/276h10a2 grind. It's specs are
272/276 advertised duration, 218/223 duration at .050
and .491/.502 lift. 110 lobe sep and install it on 106
intake centerline. Cost is $123.40.
