air deflector, mounting, brackets...my '78 GT

 I can't tell the left from the right bracket by looking, they look 
identical on the car to me. The mounting screws are large chromed 
Philipps heads. Rear hole is about 1 and 3/4 inches from raised lip 
of roof. The downswept outer curve is literally about 1/8 inch from 
the sheetmetal lip on the rear side. Meaning, the chromed outer piece 
curves downward, and the bottom edge hovers about 1/8 inch off the 
sheetmetal. 
I'm not sure what you mean by "notch" on the brackets, they look 
identical to me from either side, on the car anyway. I think I may 
have another one in the garage, finding it will be another 
problem! :) Good luck, if I find it, I'll forward some info.
