I live in a Collage Town noted for the 'Gunk Mountain' -
Schwangunk Mountain Chain. This is just outside my
front door. Climbers from other Nations come here to
climb as it is rated amounst the toughest climbs.

With a bike rack - a swing away is the most popular. You'd
still be able to get at the hatch - other way would be contact
that guy in Hemmings Motor News who sells Conti Kits.
Those big spare tires mounted on the back of 50s' cars - 
some kits swung the top of the tire towards you on a hinge -
that would also allow you to get to the hatch.

I'll look around - & when I see a good unit I'll get some info.

If you can find an Eagle Kammback 1981 or 1982 - there is your
GREMLIN 4X4 .
