just pure B.S!!! it would be LOTS harder droppin in a 944 motor in a
gremlin 
than you think plus the 944's i've seen were pieces of crap and slugs 
next

The "TURBO Fuego" - needs a handlebar mustache & cheap Perfume to
drive one of those , Bart . 

Turbo 944 PORSCHE has same mounts as the Audi block , 
as does that 1978 Factory Audi Powered Gremlin - 

"course you might want to check the local High School Shop 
for some 'expert training' since this mighty involved, Bart Sir .......
almost as complicated as a 'Stuck Clutch' . Say , how DiD that

SCCA Championship Status of 944 Race Efforts makes good reading .
Not Quite what you'd find in Drag Illustrated - but close .

The later 944 Turbo version just prior to the 964 would be 
. Easy pickins' as the harness is modular . Not a tremendous
call for these parts . Try AAA Cars of the World in Texas - find them
listed in
the back Ads in Auto Week . 

They 'll dicker so make an offer after the price quote .
Parts in Salvage aren't moving with this new Recession deal ,
so Real Cash Offers are not readily rejected . Shop .

250 - 300 HP and lots of Torque - 944T. Later version had some Alloy
parts & is lighter & all the upgrades . Very Streetable . Handling would
not
suffer . 

Sure would be a Mind Blower at an AMC Show .
