It's not a rebuild of an old motor, they build these from choice parts...79 crank, 83 block, SS valves, etc.. Paid $3400. Used it for about 6k miles and could not tune the TEC-2 system on it. (www.electromotive-inc.com) Bought a 4.0 for about the same price as a 258 cam + labor and installed it. I thought the cam/lifters were the problem in the 258 but come to find out the electromotive throttle body only flows 209cfm. Dohh! Now I have a $4000 reminder to do my homework in the garage. You interested in it? $1500 and it's yours. The 4.0 has more HP but my old 258 had more grunt (until 1800rpm where it was strangled by the TB) Also the 258 is much smoother because of the balancing. Feel free to call me at work. 9-5 EST 800.833.8843 X-6316 -Eric > -----Original Message----- > From: Brien Tourville [mailto:hh-7x@xxxx] > Sent: Thursday, August 23, 2001 4:21 PM > To: eejeep@xxxx; amc-list@xxxx > Subject: 258 6 > > > Greetings : So Eric - what is the info on your rebuilt 258 ?
