rear end ?

I just found out that the Javalin I might buy is a 73. You guys said 
the rear is 3 inches wider? Is that total width? or 3 inches on both 
sides? With proper backspacing I stll may be able to use it. Now if 
everything works out financially. GREMLINMAN
