Hi Karla!

When I recently finished restoring my '72 Gremlin X, I took it to a used car 
dealer that I know who deals in a lot of classic cars. He looked my car up 
in one of the books that he had, and he came up with a class 1 value of 
$5,000 to $5,500.00, and that's what he thought my car was worth. He 
printed a letter to this effect on his dealer letterhead, and copied the 
pages out of the book for me to take to my insurance company.

Also, since I work at a new car dealership, I asked my used car manager for 
his appraisal as well. He said that if he had it on our lot, he would ask 
$7,500 retail for it.

I can't imagine that the values of a '72 and a '74 would be that different, 
assuming similar condition and equipment. Mine has a 258 and a 3-speed. If 
yours is a V-8, I would imagine that it would be worth more.
