hello fellow amc,ers 
I have just got back with my latest amc. 1973 purple gremlin. This 
car was on ebay auctions and i won the bid. Sooo I live in 
blairsville pa (about 50 mls n.of pittsburgh),my new car was in cocoa
florida (next to the space center)1250 miles away.how did i get her 
home you ask? let me tell you.I had a weeks vacation comming so i got 
the idea to make a tripe to florida with me wife and drive it back 
(every body thought i was nuts)but i have owned so many amc,s that i 
new i could count on being able to drive it home.after all it only 
had 70110 miles on it and in very very nice shape.the trip down was 
by bus. I can not stress enough don,t ever ever ever ever take 
grayhound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are some of the nastiest 
people on earth, the bus,s were junk,thay ran behind so bad that a 27 
hour trip (by there own ticket destination time)was 39!! 39 there was 
no one to help at the stations to point you to the right bus,nothing 
fast to eat.get this most stops were to be 15 minuts long so you 
think that there are fast food resturants in the terminals aka 
kentucky fried chicken,mcdonalds ect. noooooo they were wate to be 
seated sit down types(when there was one at all).no compinsation was 
ever offared for all the delays. my ticket sed 5 stops and 3 bus,s 
changes. no no no. 18 stops 14 diffrent bus,s.this was my first and 
last time on a bus.the trip back? great stoped at the space 
center,came up the coast stoped at myrtal beach(it was bike week 
there must have 8,000 harleys and 100,s more other types.)that was 
fun.my car got so many looks and coments that the ride down seemed 
worth it.then verginia beach,and lastly atlantic beach to see some 
friends,the loved the factory purple.the only problems with the car 
was pinging do to the elevation change. i retarded the timing a bit 
and took care of that also the battery got a little hot from minor 
over charging and had to have some water added.thats it 1250miles 
later shes in the gerage next to an 83 eagle sx4 and a 1960 rambler 2 
door club coupe contintal(its 4sale $1850.00)runs good but i don,t 
think i would try the trip in it.well gotta go 4 now abbott@xxxx
