I had a 72 SST and had a shaking problem with a 3 speed whjch was found to be caused by the pilot bushind worn out letting the clutch disc be off center. As far as the bellhousing put it engine side down on a flat surface and measure the distance from trans mounting surface to surface. Do the same for the 3 speed housing -they should be the same. If the same there are two possibilites -use a longer collar on the throwout bearing or adjust the pivot ball out to take up slack. If you want it I still have the rod that I extended by welding a section into it but I didnt care for that solution. Good luck! --- On Wed, 3/28/12, Eddie Stakes <eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
