Hello Eddie,
I was wondering if you could help me out with some
of your great AMC knowledge. I would like to put a four speed
transmission in my 1972 javelin and was wondering if you could tell me what
parts I may need to locate before I start this project. My car currently has a
three speed in it that seems to have a shake at any speed over about
30mph. I have purchased a T-10 with the numbers t10p-1b on the body and
t10p-7a on the tail shaft, I also have a Bell housing that reads 3179072.
The bell mounts to the trans fine, but when I try to couple to the motor
(360) the through out bearing will not reach the pressure plate. I'm not
sure what I need to remedy this or if I am even headed the right direction for
this transplant. Anyway any insight you may have for me would be appreciated so
much.
Thanks
Ken
