My plan is to install it after I get the base coat down, and than shoot a few coats of clear over it. I did this to a test panel with just a piece of vinal that I got at the local sign shop, and it look great, sanded it with some 2000 grit and buffed it out, you can't even feel the stripe. One of the samples that I did, I mixed in a pearl called Stary Nights to the first two coats of clear, and it made the black look like the black on the new Fords plus it added a sparkal to the color in the sunlight. My goal is to paint it the first week of April. I'm taking a few days off of work.

Ed,
I appreciate that. Had I not sold it 5 years ago I would have offered it up to you.
I was nervous about applying the stripes so I asked a local shop to do it for me. They wanted me to leave the car overnight with them and his 17 yr old kid kept drooling so I bit the bullet and did it myself. It was pretty easy after all.

Ed,
Phoenix Graphics is the ONLY place to get your kit. I used their kit on my Gremlin and was very pleased. Great company too. They sent me a black kit instead of the Gold I ordered. I called and explained the CAR was black. They told me keep the black kit and sent me the gold kit free.
