That is true about getting a word in edgewise. When I take my Gremlin to car shows, Nobody is a stranger and they talk to me like they have known me all their lives. Their mother, sister, neice or their soon to be husband or wife used to have a Gremlin. I love it and I will keep my Gremlin just so I can meet and talk with all the nice people out there.

went to my local club's swapmeet this weekend wearing a Gremlin t-shirt. met two of the oldtimers (well, we're all oldtimers there in a trad club featuring Detroit Iron, pre-'65) who noticed my shirt and they proceeded to tell me about their Gremlins in the past and I couldn't get in a word edgewise about mine. .... didn't mind though.

Boy Howdy, getting old is HELL. During the months of July and August here in central Texas I park my Gremlin in the shed and do not even look for any car shows. The heat does not seem to bother the good ol Gremlin. but it takes 2 weeks for me to get over it.

I got a question for you how do you handle that heat. I have been dying all summer long and me going to car shows has been a big bust. Hell it might as well be the middle of winter. It rained all during April and May then it turned to 90+ since then. I have been to a grand total of two car shows this summer. I have had a few people call me up to see if I have died. I believe I could handle it if they had them in parks with shade trees but most of them are in the middle of an asphalt parking lot. It use to not bother me. It is hell getting old.

This is my 71 SC/360 Hornet on Houston's Channel 2 news before 4th of July....I CHANGED
the video on you tube because I didn't catch all the comments after weather when one of
the news anchors, Nefertiti Jaquez, told weatherman Khambrel Marshall "he would look good
in that car!" and Khambrel said that "any American would be proud to be behind wheel of
that car" or something like that, but one of my sons caught that before I deleted it from
TIVO (was deleting mess of Spongebob crap!)....so rerecorded it, and posted it on youtube
