[BaadAssGremlins] New SS/AMX Crane cylinder heads, Doug Thorley Headers, more

Got this today from Mike Pierce, worth passing on:
====================================
On January 18, 2011, Chase Knight of Crane Cams inspected and compared the new SSAMX
reintroduction cylinder head to an original SSAMX cylinder head. Flow reports and complete
build specs. were furnished for both the new and the original heads for his comments.

Chase Knight gave approval to begin production of Crane SSAMX reintroduction cylinder
heads that are produced from the CNC program developed from the original Crane SSAMX head.

 Initial Crane SSAMX reintroduction cylinder heads should be available for sale in spring
of 2011. These heads will be magnafluxed and inspected 318 8558 castings with the approved
CNC machining performed on them. They will include new valve guides, Manley Valves, and
Crane springs, keepers, retainers and seals of the superceded or original part numbers
Crane used on the originals. They will set up for flat tappet cam installation.

These Crane SSAMX reintroduction cylinder heads are not reproduction pieces but will be
considered a reintroduction of the original pieces produced in 1969 by Crane for the SSAMX
. NHRA has been contacted and their original approval for this head is still active.
